New Trash System coming

Just read the new Franklin Express Line newsletter:

The Town Council has endorsed a plan to change the solid waste collection system starting July,
2010. The new system will include a 65 gallon trash container and a 65 gallon recycling container.
Recycling will now be single stream. That means no more separating glass from paper,
etc. Residents on the curbside trash pickup system will receive these containers from the Town.

How to improve downtown Franklin

With funding secure and surveys complete, Franklin will now begin preliminary designs to improve downtown.

Eugene Bolinger, vice president of the Weston & Sampson consulting firm overseeing reconstruction, proposed specific improvements to Town Council Wednesday night and wants the public's opinion.

"We want to continue to get public input and allow that input to direct the design," he said.
